Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. The Chesapeake Bay is the largest estuary in the United States and a major spawning ground and nursery for striped bass, the
Maryland state fish. The shallow waters and seemingly unlimited shoreline of the Bay provide great habitat and excellent fly and light tackle opportunities for striped bass, as well as bluefish, spanish mackerel, croaker, and white perch.
